Re: Dragon Slayer 454-SureFire Raptor Slugs

Dragon Slayer 454-SureFire Raptor Slugs

Finally caught a break and got some free time to take the old DS454 back out into the wild again. I also bought some 454 cal/227.1 gr Raptor bullets from SureFire Casting (Jerry Boyenga) and wanted to capture the odd but COOL whizzing sound of the bullets since most of you haven't heard it before. Like the 6-7-8-9 ring slugs, the Raptors are performers.

I took my very first "AIRGUN" HOG with the Raptors and the Dragon Slayer:

The Raptor before entering the hog

The Raptor after entering the skull and shoulder

Ye ole' hog

But first I needed to change/add a couple of items and then RESEAL the gun. To read about that, you can visit my BLOG: [www.tofazfou.blogspot.com]

The Raptors are extremely accurate in my DS. Especially for such a low powered big bore. The one thing i forgot to do was to clean my barrel and i made a mistake of shooting HEAVILY LUBED bullets before the Raptors. But groups were still great in my mind.

Here's the short video. TURN UP THE SOUND!:[www.youtube.com]

You DA MAN Cedric for videos! Great work. Gee, it's a shame your Barnes gun was lost in transit! Bummer ... brick wall ... hehehe. But - looks like you are getting by just fine. haha.

Hey Jerry,
I'm hoping he needs some "extras" sometime soon. ;?) Maybe a round table discussion at his lodge in the hills. Followed by his chef producing some of those famous shrimp poppers wrapped in bacon .... wow After all - this IS HOLLYWOOD!

LOL.

THanx guys for replying. Glad you enjoyed it. Both of you make wonderful products. The Raptors as well as other SUREFIRE bullets are something i will be ordering for as long as SUREFIRE is open for business.

GB, if you wanna make a new lightweight EXTRAORDINARY bullet with unique features in 454 cal, i'll gladly buy...lol

SureFire, keep up the great casting. You have a customer for life.

GB, sent you a pm. Got a technical question for ya.

Hi Faz,
Thanks bud. Answered your PM question. Hope I got it right. wink. winking smiley
Hey - the Raptor IS a super light 454. 200-230grains. Hey ... this ain't no whimpy pellet rifle ya know ... hahaha. Those 925 grain "Lites" in 87 caliber are a nice product. Might want a tin of those (1 per tin). hahah.
Your movies and testing deserve a larger platform. Always glad to see them here. Hope to make a guess appearance on your TV show some day.
