Hi Gary,

Really like the colors. The blue goes well with the anchor.

Do you seal the patina or just let it naturally continue?

Hi Pedro,

I seal it. Lacquer. Many ancient Japanese techniques used lacquer. It has a long life.

I’m building patinas with both oxides and colored lacquers.

It is amazing how much richness and depth can be attained thru the judicious application of the correct blend of colors, in proper order. I love seeing it develop.
