Preparing to Carve

Preparing to Carve

Trying to get what work I'm able to get done. Just as an update. The hip/leg etc. is still a mess. I go for two MRIs tomorrow, to see what's going on in there. I'll improve a hair. Any activity sets me back farther. Just really waiting out the clock until the time I can get injections, I guess. However; there might be something new going on and the Pain Clinic Specialist up here wants MRIs.

Some of the time, I can sit for a bit. I've been picking at this. Gotta have the design drawn and refined, before you cut.

Hi Gary,

I'm impressed by how much you can achieve under your particular circumstances. This stock shows nice grain and the drawings on it invite me to anticipate the final product. From the pictures it's hard to know for which rifle this stock will be... Anyway it looks nice.

And as Jerry posted, I hope that you used the correct pencil for this job.artist

That's going to be a really nice pattern Gary. Looks great in pencil, I know it will be popping out the wood when it's complete. Take it easy and get back on your feet man. We'll be keeping you in our prayers down here in NC.

Hello Joe,

I appreciate it bud. Man, I'd sure like to be back on my feet and put in a full 14 hr. day. This hour on, hour off .... two on ... three off ... it's a serious drag.

Great looking new knife you have listed. Fine temper line. We'll have to get together on one like that, and I'll carve it for you. We'll sell it and both retire! laughing

Thanks Gary, that sounds like a plan for sure.. Your comment is deeply appreciated, I wish I knew a tenth of what you know about forging and knife making. I would be extremely honored to work and learn from you on a knife.
Your going to be up and about again in no time, but lets shoot for 8 hour days for a while.

Hello Neil,

I had the MRIs today. They gave me the films to bring home. I looked them over. Looks like a bunch of pork chops. I think that's the problem. laughing again

Hope you feel better soon. Beautiful work only an artist can draw. You seem to make it come alive with depth. db

Thanks Don,

I appreciate it.

I've been thinking of starting a tatto shop on the side ... what do you think? hahah.

Look for private e-mail (PM) regarding Yukon project.

Actually, you'd probably make a great tattoo artist.

Might have to get past your inclination towards the deep relief work, though....injured
