A few more pics of the last outing.
Entry on a 6 by 6 post section we'd set out to use as a stump for the canister to set on. The hay in the field was high - we could not use any of the steel groundhogs, for fear of loosing them ... and having the farmer FIND them in his equipment.
So - that 50 yard hole was exactly were I'd tried to put it. center of the pink band, after Jerry had hit the canister off the top.
The exit wound. Story: I shot, and the whole area went up in a cloud of dust - looked like a huge explosion had taken place. Well, we found that this old section of post was rather dry. You could still have jacked up a house on it ... but it was dry rotted. That slug had exploded thru the thing, and made a cloud of dust that hid the woods behind!
One of the trees Jerry slapped down.
The old lumberjack himself
One of the doubles. See the hole, and then the second smear around the edge? We kept setting them up - and he kept aiming at the hole again.
hahaha
Another double ...
Jerry with his trophy trees. He can't decide between a head mount ... or a rug mount ... hummmmm. Maybe a nice chair for the porch?
Gary
BTW ... Jim was in Florida. We'll drag his sorry buttstock out there, and make him haul trees too ... asap. ;?)
