Immediately upon making the Squire, (probably before I was even finished with it) ... the door to the back room opened - and this idea was tossed out!





I thought about the idea ... and said ... "Well THAT is a HOSS!!!"

And it proved to be.



I got is finished one night, late; before one of the Damascus Airgun shows where I was to display.

I got to the show just early enough to do this one test target. Yeah ... it'll shoot!



Over at the range ... the Hoss 45 was a hit!

























All day long. And it has been so since! .... It's in my top five.

The fact that the Hoss came along immediately behind the Squire, completely overshadowed the wonderful characteristics of the Squire Rifle. The Hoss stole all the Oxygen. haha. Everybody was so taken by it.

The Hoss uses the identical fire thru breech that the Squire uses. The fact that I exercised the courage to put the reservoir and the barrel side by side on the Hoss, was a risk. It's hardly traditional. However; as I saw it in my mind, it made such a balanced and powerful pistol ... that I've never had anyone tell me that they didn't like it.

The Squire needs to be revisited. It is a sweet design that made a very fine rifle of Classic lines. And, I have a few other ideas to go with it. In fact - there is still the origonal files with the other designs never built.

You know it, I believe it will too. Can't wait.

We're dealing with getting movers in here to haul stuff to the auction now. Great joy. By the time we pay the moving company - and then the auction % .... I'll bet we haul away a house full of antiques and leather furniture ... and end up OWING money. This ain't 1940 anymore. No farm family to pitch in for a picnic and apple pie.



After this is over ... wow .... sounds like a dream. hahaha.
