As our house had been a mess due to a renno job and flooring was completed Friday afternoon, wife and I went for supper. After we went to the local library and did a search for Rifles. Not much came up but one book caught my attention. Foxfire 5 book! I know Gary mentioned these series before. The Flint Rifles are incredibly interesting, reading about all the old time builders. Really fascinating how these early men built rifles with very little money and tools.



The book has many stories and details how some things were built. Makes me want to buy a flintlock kit and build one. At least Canada's laws are more lax for these.

One picture shows early cherries used to make molds for lead balls. Interesting thing you can still buy these books new!
