Speaking of carving Gary , I was thinking of the irony of the knife you just made and sold. The maple burl and oak leaf aluminum scales ! It's like the WOODS series knife .
Those were oak leaves weren't they? Any ways love the new stock work . Thanks for all

Thanks
Kurt

Thks Kurt,

Those were a fantasy leaf. When I do Oak, it has the lobe seperations; and I add in Acorns. The ones I did were more like the thick spear shaped clusters you see down here. Actually our Live Oaks have the spear shaped leaves, but without the serrations.

Natural materials and natural organic designs are always pleasing.

Some laminated synthetics are warm too. Especially if they mimic natural designs.

I'm very impressed you can do that carving with a hatchet and some sandpaper .....more innocent

Thank you Joebill!

It is an acquired skill, practiced over decades. It was a great day when I learned that I could get a "fresh" piece of sandpaper occasionally. You learn the small things thru practice.

The old drywall hatchet has seen better days too ! That tool DESERVES a new handle Gary . Well at least a fresh coat of electrical tape.
