I did a couple of my coins in an Antique Patina and textured the background.

This is another look which can apply to the large coins too.

sweet! they look...rugged.

Those turned out great . Is there different designs on the edges ? It appears to be random shapes to the untrained eye .

The more copper toned one has a "hammered face" texture.

On the darker one, I used a texturing die plate to texture. On both, the face texturing is carried thru on the lettering tops and in the center high ground. However, it shows more on the dark one cause it's a tighter design.

Also, I cleaned up the helmet die and put a very light tight damascene texture on the helmet. That catches your subconscious.

My technique will nearly reproduce a fingerprint. It's amazing. I love to do it.
