Hello Readers. I hope this Sunday morning finds you well.

I've considered, for a week or more; anything that I have to tell you, that you don't already know. I'll start by reminding you that there are three excellent knives posted here for sale. It would be a huge help if you would consider purchasing one. They are of very high quality. They have been priced so that they are really barely worth making at the price. Before you question that, I'll remind you that I once bought a lockback Pocket Folder, from Walmart; for one dollar. We were on a trip, and I'd left my knife at home. Point being, nobody has ever bought the work of craftsmen, to save money. You buy the work from Chinese factories to save money. US Craftsmen have bills to pay. And, no - I won't be passing down my $1 Chinese Walmart knife ... to my Grandson.

In thinking of what to tell you, I went on this short squirrel chase. Do I tell them about this new season of continual migraine headaches? And the resulting BP spikes associated with unending pain? Certainly not! They'll all say ... "He's about to stroke out, or die!" "I want to be around fun, healthy things." Do I tell them about the work I've accomplished ... in spite of the aforementioned issues ... (IF I had those issues). Certainly not! They'll say, "Well if he can make THAT, then he can make my thingamajig." You all know that Kelly and I were both horribly sick with the flu, for over a month. Then, my flu turned into pneumonia. I was quite ill. And lucky. Many ended up with "Head Stones" from the exact same thins this year. During those six weeks, I had to try to do some things. We don't have a Staff. Let me ask, did anybody notice me selling an item since then, that's worth a month's salary??? No, me either. But I did manage to complete a few very nice small items for sale. The Bills from that 6 weeks (for me), and the small items for sale, are both still here. BTW, those of you who have an account with me, any small portion of that would be very much appreciated. Doesn't mean anybody is late. Just means anything would help.

You recall that I told you I planned to use a retail dealer for my work, to vastly increase the "eyes" seeing my work. You will have realized that I didn't "have" any finished work sitting around, and that I'm not the only one approaching the dealers. There is a lead time to get into the "rotation" with dealers. And, there is a lead time to get something made to send. And, they don't stop at 1:37 on a Tuesday afternoon and send you a check if you sell something. Their computers spit out checks once a month. So; it will be months until income from that avenue nets anything.

You are all very smart people. You wouldn't have bothered to follow work like mine, for years; if you weren't. I used to have quite a few Airline pilots, Engineers of all types. Doctors and Specialists. Dentists. Business owners and hard, hard working honest people who knew what it is to make something fine from a pile of chunks. And then, well ... I just became less fun. Endless pain will do that to someone. Try it. See for yourself. But rather than just disappearing ... I remained right here in plain view. And worked thru pain that I doubt seriously 10% would tolerate. Because I have principles. And what have the principles netted me? Next to nothing. I get the humiliation of making some of the finest work readers have seen, and then explaining that I have to eat and keep the lights on.

If you are one of the few who have not clicked over yet, to "Dizzy Daffy's Fun Barn"; then I thank you. I'll get back to work. Yes, I know it's Sunday afternoon. God Bless you. If you see something for sale here, talk to me. If you are a praying person: the name is Gary Barnes. Wait ... better use the middle initial L. I suspect that there are any number of "Gary Barnes' " out there, that have been blessed beyond their wildest dreams. "L". Don't forget the L.

Gary
