There I am for FIRST FIRE. It’s a CELEBRATION. After ALL THAT WORK, it’s soooooo special to get that first velocity confirmation that “Ya did good Gary”.

Well, I’m in the lower shop where I’ve set up the “BPS BALLISTIC RESEARCH CENTER” or as we call it, the BPSBRC.

Outryder Filled. Slug chosen and sized. All recorded. Lights on. Chronograph On and perfectly Aligned. Chronograph runs its diagnostic and says READY. “I’m ON”.

I have my Ear Cups on. I load the rifle. I cock the rifle. I align the rifle. I align the rifle again. I align again and BANG!!!!!

Whoooh!!! That ROCKED!!!! What was the number???? Eyes wide. Anticipation Peeked ....

“0”

ZERO. NUTHIN’

Well, it’s not like me to pout ..... much .... so I prepare for another shot.

Before I pull the trigger I notice ..... “THE BLASTED SECOND LIGHT BULB OVER THE CHRONOGRAPH IS OUT!!!!!!” That crappy thing had to burn out between the time the Chronograph ran its diagnostic, reported READY, and I pulled the trigger!!!!!

I was ROBBED I tell ya!!!! POLICE. POLICE!!!!!

Ok. Now I’ll prepare the SECOND FIRE REPORT .....
