Barnes butcher CHOP

Well I wanted to share a couple of pics of some ANTIQUE Barnes knives . I was cutting up some steaks this afternoon and thought I’d share ! I was lucky enough to get these out of miss Kelly’s kitchen and into mine . I’m not positive but this is a early MS stamp by Master Smith Barnes . It’s a joy slicing these New York strips !
Thanks Gary

Thanks
Kurt

Hi Kurt,

Those steaks look good! Nice!!

BTW ... for the reader; those are NOT temper colors on the blades. It’s what happens when you cut meat with clean, bright, Carbon Steel.

Also, these are a collection of test/prototype blades that I realized had ended up staying with Barnes until about two years back. Some have very early Stamps. Some very Rare Stamps. I see a couple are one of a kind test pieces. It’s great to have them with Kurt, where they will bring enjoyment.

Thanks so much for sharing them, Kurt.

Thank you My Good Friend,
Gary

Thanks Gary
It’s very enjoyable to use them and they make it so much easier to cut .
I store them away after and only get them out for butchering. Except for my parring knife . I use that pretty regularly.

Thanks
Kurt
