This is a picture I took at the Wild Bill Cody Museum in Cody WY. If you look at the bottom right corner on the white card it says it was made in 1596 ! The detail and craftman's ship made in this .40 cal flintlock is amazing to me. I figure if you can trace your ancestry back this far your probably related to the firearm maker!

Hi Bob,

Thanks for posting that fine Wheel Lock. Yeah, I think Uncle Hans the third made that. Did you notice how many of the flourishes terminated with or included a face? Fun characteristic of the artist’s work.
