I received a box in the mail today with these 2 packages nicely tied with twine:

I'm not sure which one I like better! I had not noticed the "grain" of the black knife before. It is splendidly subtle.
The wood grain is also quite awesome! And it is a solid knife to hold and use.

The black is "Linen Phenolic". Actually Linen material impregnated with Phenolic Tesin under pressure. It's WW2's Carbon Fiber. Great stuff. Almost as good as Skeeter Tusk! Hehe.

And recall, the Spalted Southern Live Oak was actually GROWN at BPS.

Thanks for adding to the recommendations. Folks CAN still have a Person to Person Artist/Heirloom experience. I guarantee the objects will stay done. No need for backup. No need for upgrades. No planned obsolescence. And it greatly helps the Artist.
