I finally had an evening to make a nozzle and finish a simple burner for a little forge I made awhile back. I didn’t get the correct regulator and tried a bbq regulator. Only get 1 PSI from it compared to a variable regulator that can provide over 30 PSI.

Nice big flame but no pressure to get any real heat out of it.

Once on the forge I turned down my compressed air to about 5PSI and blew into the holes where the burner draws air. Got a nice forced flame the easily heated an old bolt. It is enough heat to be able heat treat small parts like a sear and the like.

Did a lot of research so in time buy a proper regulator and build a nicer forge/heat treat oven.

Thanks for reading. Waiting on tap and some parts to continue on building and finishing a few other projects!

Looks like you are enjoying that nice shop you've set up Pedro.

That Forge is making a bunch of heat. I've been so much wanting to fire mine too. We need longer days! Hah.

What did you use for your Forge insulation blanket? I forget. Must work well.

Enjoy!

I hope to play with some serious heat someday also.
