Gary,

Very nice!

What is the function of the large cylindrical nut on the clip side?

Hi Lon,

Gosh .... I hate to say. "What's the purpose of the large cylindrical nut ..."

Ahhhh .... it's a nut. Machined Stainless Steel. Threaded. 6 dimples around the rim. One hole in one dimple for a torque rod to stop rotation and tighten the socket head machine screw thru SS barrel on the other side. Blade rotates on tool steel Hub internal to blade tang. Quite smooth.

That's not a clip. It's the leaf spring with 90 degree foot that goes thru thecase into the blade tang. In closed position it Springs the blade closed and holds it. You can just flip it out with the tang extension and it solidly locks open. My US Patent folding knife design from the mid 80's.

That's a beautiful piece of work . You've really brought some serious engineering to that piece . All the logos/ design and black release really work well together . Is that the triple heat treatment blade we saw last week ? Someone is going to be very lucky to own that one . All I can say is WOW. Great job

Thanks
Kurt
