I’d shown you build steps, but once complete ... I kept working and didn’t celebrate. Here are the finished pics.
I finished it late one evening toward the end of last week. It went out at the end of the week ... and made weekend delivery.
It’s a fine tool, in all ways. Has a beautiful balance as well.
Has a very special Kydex molded sheath too. Special Paracord Rivets. I made the tooling, and then the Rivets themselves; from heavy seamless copper tubing.
I really like the handle materials too. All Barnes made. Camo and Black. Really gives the Dagger a serious look. And, it IS serious. I did my famous Cold Rolled Steel Rod Carving test. It stood up very well. No damage.
The sheath is molded to retain the guard and handle. There is a drain hole for water along the back panel of the sheath.
I made an approx 3% oversize model to mold the hot Kydex around. In this way the knife isn’t too tight in the sheath. It may be drawn and replaced by instinct.
Any questions?
