That's a fine looking job on the barrel crown . The grooves and lands look pretty crisp too in that picture.

Hi Gary,

Barrel looks great. Its amazing how much work it is to make a barrel. I showed a friend the pictures from the site this afternoon, he couldn't believe that a button could rifle the barrel. Then I showed him what a button rifling tool looks like and he understood how it worked.

Looking forward to seeing the rifle come together.

Do you lap or finish the crown with some type of fine abrasive?

I keep the detail sharp by using a high speed abrasive stone against the rotating barrel Lon. My personal preference is to leave the cuts “Crisp”.
