Here’s Testing for the Falcon 170.7 grain and the Twin Tail 209 grain 50 Caliber Prototypes thru this #6 OUTRYDER 50.

It went well.

These aren’t like the best out of ten or such. These are “Set down, and shoot ONE group”.

I centered the scope a bit with a few slugs of different types. Then shot these groups. I’d posted a third target card to proof the “207 Osprey”, but it was then too dark for the 32mm 4X Glass. I’ll try tomorrow.

Ahhh. Velocities

I ran a series of 50 Caliber Slugs this afternoon.

WASP 146 grain @ 3,200 psi, .4985”.... 917 FPS - 276.7 FOOT LBS.

FALCON 170.7 grain @ 3,200 psi, .4985” ... 874 FPS - 289.6 FOOT LBS.

HORNET 190 grain @ 3,000 psi, .4985” ... 827 FPS - 288.6 FOOT LBS.

OSPREY 207 grain @ 3,200 psi, .4985” ... 820 FPS - 309.1 FOOT LBS.

TWIN TAIL 209 grain @ 3,200 psi, .4985” ...811 FPS - 305.3 FOOT LBS.

These are the newest 50 Caliber Rifle Slugs I’ve recently designed, made tooling for, prototyped, and now Proofed. That’s a lot of work. That’s something I do for my clients and don’t just give away to everyone else. Others can learn to do this work, and make the tooling, but it doesn’t really pay very well, and it’s not terribly well appreciated. It is, however; the correct way to get nice clean holes from your “Pneumatic Paper Punch”.

Ah .. remember.... for massive energy, I’ve made a 401.2 grain “Carnivore”, slug the Rife shoots quite well. I can’t lay my hands on the energy no’s right now. I’ll look it up.

Hope you enjoy the data!

BTW ... I found a Cache of 9-10 other scopes. Stored since the move. There was even a Leupold Rifleman in there. Some on rings. But there was an issue with Bell Size vs. ring height or other things requiring adjustments. I just slide the 4 by 32 back on there. Old Faithful.

It did pretty well again. I also like the Diamond Reticle of the scope.
