Very nice work of art there .
I’m glad you got the whole worm thing figured out too .
Can’t you just fill with epoxy and polish it out ? It must have been pretty bad to have to remove the piece.

Edit: wasn’t being intentionally short Bud. It needed to be better than patched. Btw, epoxy never gets glass hard like shell and like other techniques I can use. Generally, “Saving the hood ornament, and installing a new car under it; is the least headache and cost”. Ha. Don’t ask me how I know ... hah

I was able to thin the scales by means of a new way of holding the scales. Was a job but I thought it would be iced.

My back walked out on me though. Said something about tomorrow afternoon ....

Gonna go ahead and call it.
