It’s very difficult to get readers to note the extra care that goes into certain knives. This knife is soooo perfect. I spent sooo much time inside this knife. It’s smooth as GLASS (that’s if the glass has been polished and waxed!)
If you don’t work in a machine shop you may not note the extra features. The precision of the ball detent. The angle and seat of the lock up. The grace of the carvings.
The main issue that has left the knife here is this. In general, it looks similar to the most popular style of knife today. Sand blasted black Micarta. Smooth, full side handle scales. Glass beaded blade. So; it doesn’t separate itself from the herd, at a glance. But that “look” is popular, so I worked with it to create a very special piece.
When you have spent so much time perfecting something, it’s nice to think you’ll get paid for it. But this media works on one shot impressions. And it’s hard to film a “Fantastic Voyage”, in a micro scale journey through the details of the knife.
