That looks pretty amazing . I can appreciate ALL it took to get to that point too . All the machine work and polishing and sanding .
Most of the pics ( from my phone ) look like a gun metal grey . The last pic here really shows the wonderful blue you mentioned . Maybe the polish brought out the sheen .
Hmm you say a 97A ? You haven’t done many of them in a while .

Looks like what the customer ordered ! Very nice finish and way harder than the aluminum base metal. Can't wait to see the video of it opening by the press of the button. Very nice , Gary

I’m making this one a little “meaner” per request. Bit heavier blade. Gonna wrap a heavier spring. Let’s see how that works out.

I haven’t made many 97A’s. I’ll make more if there is an interest. Thks. I do think they are interesting. And handy. There are quite a few things to design in and make tooling for. Fortunately that lasts well.
