Unless I'm sadly mistaken this is a familiar maker's mark.

No bidding war Jerry, I got more sense than to come on here with you guys and post peekaboo pics before I seal the deal. It's a sheath knife Gary any info you could give would be great. I figured you made this one quite sometime ago, I don't have it yet, but the description was as new.

After reading my post again I see it was kind of confusing, I purchased the knife, just waiting for it to arrive in my mail box.

Hi Joe,

Pretty sure I made that for Teddy Roosevelt in 1910 Joe. take a bow

I'll look it up in the ledgers. I have a idea where to start.

Hope you enjoy it my friend.

Last pic I have of until it arrives, this might help you out Gary with the ledger search. Teddy Roosevelt, huh, I hear ya.
Dory it only takes about a week to ship from here to Canada, I've sent several knives up there. Of course coming back the other way might be different, I hope not.

I'll keep looking from time to time. Just can't find it. Sort of recall. If I made the sheath, it's the only one like that I made.

That logo started in March of 1987. Started with serial no. 783. So ... I have to look from there thru Serial number 1,307.

Sweet! I sent an order up to Canada for a customer in October and it took about 2-1/2 weeks to clear customs (not including the actual transit time). Not sure if the fact that it's a knife will make a difference -- just make sure you fill out all of the required forms or it WILL take a lot longer!

Merry Christmas guys! rudolph

Thanks Gary, did you serial number your knives as well?

Hi Kelly, I know you have been the busy one with Christmas and the birth of your grandsons. It's good to see you post.
Merry Christmas

Hi Joe,

Your knife is serial number 1055 ... completed 12-05-91 .... ha ... funny .... that's my birthday 12-5.

It's weathered elk stag from a dropped antler. Pretty sure that's 440-C high carbon stainless tool steel.

There ya go ... found it. grinning smiley

Thanks Gary, whatcha doing working on your birthday. Seems this has some history to go along along with it. Close to 300 knives in less than 4 years, guess you were pretty much working every day.surrender

The knife was waiting for me this evening when I got in from work. Gorgeous little knife with the excellent craftmanship only a Master Smith could do.It's in new condition, never sharpened or used from I can tell, and still shaved hair from my arm. Here are some quick pics that don't do it justice. Shot inside under the lamp with mt little Cannon, enjoy.
I'm not much of a collector so after I admire it, and show it off a little, I will probably let it go to someome who collects fine knives.
