Gary, I always liked the antique look of the Bison and Expedition. I am not necessarily fond of muzzle loaders, but I really like the look and ease of use of the large cocking lever. After shooting 50-60 rounds with my Yukon .58 Grand Slam, my left arm starts getting pretty sore. I then have to use BOTH hands to cock the rifle.......and no, I'm not a wuzzy girly man. Gary, I really like the large cocking lever on the Bison. After a shooting session with my Yukon 58, the cocking force makes my left arm look like one of the former "Governator's". Kby Heavy Metal - Gary's Galleries
Hey Gary, got any extra parts left over for one of those dandy .56 Expeditions? I can only dream, eh? Karlby Heavy Metal - The Picture Gallery
Don't forget there are GPS devices imbedded in the new crop of artillery projectiles. You solve the firing problem for distance, the GPS receiver on board flies the projectile to the target.by Heavy Metal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Ok Gents, suggestions noted. How do I get in touch with Sure Fire cast slugs????? A web search was fruitless. I have been using a lot of Hornady .570 round ball and off the shelf muzzle loader slugs. Some are really huge in length. I size them down to fit the rifle. They definitely aren't flat shooting!!!!! At the distance I was shooting the other day (179 +- yds.) I gotta tell you Gary, after shooting the Yukon 58 for several hours yesterday, I was wishing heavily it had a cocking lever! I can see it now: "Son, how'd ya get that huge left arm"? Well sir, I've been shooting a Yukon 58 fairly regularly......and just in case your thinking it-----I''m RIGHT handed! Karlby Heavy Metal - Gary's Galleries
I took the Y58 up to Gainesville, Tx to visit Steve Corcoran and to pickup a custom stock he made for one of my rifles. (very nice!) I set up the Yukon 58 to feed from its carbon tank. Steve picked out a nice rock about 179yds plus or minus (laser range finder) to plink at. We were using Hornady 570 round ball and were hitting really close around the 12inch rock. We both actually hit it....by Heavy Metal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
How about a Girandoni clone shooting off the shell round ball? Other than that, I have always liked the look of a big bore muzzle loader like the Bison. Kby Heavy Metal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

The Yukon class is a visual and operationally powerful statement. Today, I had to visit a local custom gunsmith shop for an issue with an English air rifle. I brought my Y58 GS along for giggles. The two expatriate Africaaners that run the shop were amazed. They had never seen a truely big bore rifle that projected such power and artistic appeal. Then I let them shoot a few rounds in the bby Heavy Metal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Hello Everyone, I found out about this forum accidentally, but I am glad to be here. I am the proud owner of one of Gary's beautiful Yukon 58's! It is a beast! While shaking hands and getting to know this work of art, I was dumb enough to tack a target to a scrub oak in the backyard (about a foot in diameter) and then shoot it with the Yukon at about 65yds not fully appreciating its immensby Heavy Metal - Gary's Galleries
Yes, I can attest to that. While engaged in rotorwing training at "Mother Rucker" aka Ft. Rucker, Al., most of the primary flight training IP's were civilians and they were primarily peanut farmers moonlighting under contract to teach primary helo flight training. My IP knew all these tiny little confined areas in the middle of peanut fields for confined area approaches in TH-55's. Of courseby Heavy Metal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
