That is Stunning! Your work is always beautifully done, even if sometimes the lines are exactly what I would choose, but boy oh boy did you hit the bullseye with this one. Probably my favorite of your guns has been the Heritage pistol, but maybe this one just leap frogged it. We'll have to see when a few more pics work their way out. That's killer! (probably in more way than one!) Go getby Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
This is hands down one of my favorites Gary. A beautiful pistol! Nice to hear that it's still doin' work.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That blade is great! and the handle is a perfect counterpunch! Congrats on a great peice Gary.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Forget the guns Gary, those are beautiful. Such simple, clean form follows function lines. Me Likey! Your guns are gorgeous but there's something stark about these that catch my eye. Maybe that's why I liked the Hawg .62 cal pistol/carbine that you made, all the pics I ever saw were with metal and wood tones similar to these? I guess it's cause everything around my house is only halfway doneby Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Rumor has it that's it's actually cheaper to run the "cheap" scuba tanks and get a booster pump. Supposedly you more fills per tank as well. I have no first hand experience with this, but it's been discussed quite a bit on some other forums. Here's a link to where some guys have picked up the pumps. They can be run off 1 scuba feeding both inlets for the pump, so you only need 1 tank (but could dby Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Here is a link to the southwest scout. I have to admit that it's one of my favorites.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
This makes me wish I had a .308. Those look great Gary! For what I do with my airguns, I'd rather have a lighter faster slug than worry about ultimate power. Those lighter ones are right up my alley. As for price point, I'd check this out. All he does is hollow points and he's been at it for a while.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
jees o peet that's a lot of fiil valves. I'm confused just looking at them. I'm glad you know where they're supposed to go. Couldn't you just be like everyone else and buy them in bulk?by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Not too tacky Gary! If my mother-in-law were around she'd say, "come over here so I can smack you!" Julio, out of curiosity. If they're not native, why let them go? Are they everywhere and 2 won't matter? Regardless, They sure are pretty. I always feel like it's christmas when I hook something. Even if I'm trying for something specific, never know what's coming up.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Looks kind of spooky to me too! Kind of like when someone walks onto a job site in some new carhartts and everyone asks who the new guy is.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gotta love technology! I really like it at a store when the power goes out and the kid behind the counter can't figure out how to take cash. Or when the battery in the toothbrush dies and people can't figure it out. MOVE YOUR HAND UP AND DOWN, DUMMY! Technology is a great blessing, when it works.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gotta like the idea of a packable rig. So much easier to move around. I imagine the stock is offset a tad because of how it attaches? Can't quite remember, I assume (it's dangerous, I know) that the way the stock attaches makes it be able to have different lengths of pull?by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
This makes one wonder what kind of photos you been taking Gary?by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well that's pretty cool. I have to admit that even though the pistol wouldn't be my first choice, it would be kind of cool to try out, and if it switches back and forth that easily, then that IS cool. Gotta dig it.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Looking good Gary. Seems you know sumthin 'bout this airgun thing!by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
You made my day Gary! That is an awesome rig. I'm grinnin' like the Cheshire cat. Looks like a ton of fun, Once again, that is a super cool gun. As a pistol it doesn't really do much for me (kinda cool, but not my ball of wax), but as a carbine, holy cow, that really hits the spot. Thanks again for the video.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I agree 100%! and I love some of my powder guns, BUT I've discovered that I hate cleaning them. And I mean Hate! Just one more reason for the airuns. Don't have to clean them every time out. Gotta love it. Great shooting. 22's sure can be cheap fun.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well, I can't speak for them myself, but I've read plenty of threads on different forums about the ballistic products 000 (I think) that measures .360 as being an awesome 9mm projectile. If I remember right Tofazfou has written of them. If I'm wrong about that, please let me know, but I know for sure I've read rave reviews by a few folks.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Beautiful Gun guys! Jim, if it ever needs to find a new place to live, please let me know. Third pic down, look at all the bits on the left side of the pic. A whole wall of 'em. Right behind the drill press, of all crazy places.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Never fails. I've begun to make sure I get off the phone, look over my list, and rethink what I'm doing BEFORE I go into the store. I used to think all that took too much time, but I realized the extra trips took waaay more time. Not to mention the added stress and frustration of thinking you're ready to get going on or finishing your project only to have it get postponed until tomorrow because nby Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Great story Peter. I'm kind of doing the same thing with my nephew. I don't have any sons yet, so he and I shoot when I have the time. Now that's all he wants to do when he sees me! It's a good thing I suppose. By the way, I'm up for adoption if you're looking for a place for your gunsby Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Boy oh boy do I feel your pain. Can't tell you how many times I've done the same sort of thing. It never seems to be at the beginning of a part either. It's always hours into it and the guide on the router table moves slightly or something ridiculous like that. Sorry to hear this. It makes a great story, but it still sucks!by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks for the info on the Hawg. What a brute! I really like the nice simple lines on the carbine. Seems like it would be a handful in pistol format. While it seems that shorter, bigger bore rifles are now coming into style, it would appear that you beat the curve. Jack Haley is making guns similar in theory. .58 cal guns with 14" barrels. Still putting out 350-400ft lbs, but they're considby Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well, I went looking for the Hawg (haven't found it yet) but I did run across this about the Hoss I guess I'll keep looking for the Hawg.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks both Kent and Gary. That's some good pop for a short gun. I'm glad you guys picked out a period correct set of sights for that bad boy I've never heard of the hawg, I guess I'm going to have to go back through what I can find and see if there is any info on that brute. 330 pounds has got to be a bit to handle. thanks for the info. Any leads on where to find out about the hawg wby Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey y'all. I've got a question for Gary and/or Julio. I was wandering around the site again looking at whatever I haven't seen before and again I ran into some pics of the Hoss and wondered what the power numbers are for that little critter. I don't recall hearing (reading) about them. Thanks guys.by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Looks good! We do something similar with Dungeness crab up here in the northwest. So how much weight did you guys pack on while you were there?by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
A bunch of lookers there! One of those looks like a grey fox if I'm not mistaken. The chance to shoot all those different guns, COOL!by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, please don't misunderstand. It looks similar to many long range target guns. My buddy Dylan is nuts over long range shooting and his .338s and .50's have the same general design. Long and lean, bi-pod way out front, mono-pod in the butt stock to give as long a platform as possible. I understand why they're built that way and I definitely appreciate what they can do, but that doesn't mean thby Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gee Gary, I thought Julio wanted a bright gun? Interesting looks. Not sure the lines "work for me" but since it's not for me, who cares what I think so long as it works. And from what I hear, your stuff does what it's supposed to. The breech reminds me of the chameleon, not saying the same, but reminiscent. I really dig the hammer. How long is the barrel?by Griffin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
