Nice going you survived! Do us all a favor and take the night off will ya! Sheesh!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
So it's the really hot and muggy season here, no where near comfortable enough to shoot anything outside. Sad to say I've only been able to shoot the .25 a couple of times when it was a bit cooler out, I'm anxious to get it back out when things cool down. However! It is cool enough, not, to do some stupid hard work around some 26 year old oak trees. These trees have been causing havoc withby Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I've missed sooo much. I like all three! I personally would never carry a fixed blade, just can't do it where I work. The larger knives sure would make a superb kitchen utensil. I would have to place it under lock and key. Did I ever tell you the story of my mom using the wooden end of my sharpening rod as a hammer to pound on the back of my santoku knife to chop up an ice block!!?? Ya thatby Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I'm so sorry I missed this, I've been away for a bit (not in jail, not yet anyway ). Happy Birthday Kelly!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That's a very nice looking knife. I just noticed I don't see any liners, that looks trickyby Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I read this out loud to my wife this weekend, I had a good laugh both times. Yes I'm alive, barely, I'm working on my 3rd straight month of travel with no breaks. Only thing that is going to break around here is me. I found myself wishing this storm over Tampa would wash away the airport. No such luck, plane left this morning anyway.by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
These coins are very nice Gary, I will be placing an order for something soon. It would be really cool to hand these out instead of business cards for those really special customers. Are the backs of the coins fairly smooth? On a side note, now that state cup soccer is in full swing for Andrew my weekends are busted. I keep the .25 open in my office and walk by it constantly. We have had iby Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Wow Gary, the detail in that is beyond rediculous! The more I zoom in the more I see, layers and layers of detail. I'd like to see the rig with the scanning electron microscope you were wearing when you made that die! In a side note, that poor hand of yours may need some attentionby Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I think there may be a problem with your camera. Oh and by the way, careful with that tie around the lathe!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Looks great, the fatter scales look to make this nice and ergonomic. Very nice Gary, I like it, I'm sure it will sell like hot cakes!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Nice! Can't wait to see the result.by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That is an elegant looking knife Gary, very nice.by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Prayers allocated, good word has been put in, hope you feel better soon!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thank you Gary, Happy Easter to you and your family as well. We will be enjoying the Italian tradition of Mass in the morning and eating the rest of the day with familyby Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Old/cheap screwdriver in Gary's shop? No Problem! Cut down and repurposed as a temporary pin, HA! Very nice looking knife Gary. Back to the window with my spotting scope, waiting for postman, he decided not to come yesterday (no, I don't own a spotting scope, but you get the idea )by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Tracking says it should be here tomorrow, I won't be home but the boys will be here to sign for it. Whoohoooo!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That looks waaaaaaaaay too heavy to be messing with.by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I believe if you go too high on air pressure the hammer doesn't open the valve enough, as pressure drops in the tank the valve opens more and bingo you have more power. At least that's what I remember from one of Gary's posts. Hey Teach! See I was paying attention in class!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Gary!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks everyone! I appreciate the feedback. I took apart my .20 HW97K today and to my relief, 16 years later, it's in good shape inside. I did myself a favor and cleaned it all out and re-lubed, taking care to get no lube on the front side of the piston seal. Next up the .177 RWS 34, that sucker is my first springer circa 1990, can't wait to see what's inside that one! I should have takenby Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Super bonus, pellet seater! Thanks for all the pictures Gary, I really appreciate it. That poor duct seal bear has no idea what's coming, lol.by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Gary, I'm familiar with duct seal, I'll give it a shot. Unfortunately don't own a chrono so I'll just have to go by drop in poi . We will enjoy shooting without the numbers to show off . Thanks!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks so much Kelly! We will enjoy it for sure.by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Wow! Thank you so much! What a great present AND the D.O.O was onsite to sanctify operations, what a treat. The boys and I are psyched. Thanks Gary and Kelly!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Gary, I've done some looking around and NO ONE makes naval brass rear spring guides anymore, must have been a fad or something 16 years ago when I got this gun. Steel makes much more sense.by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Gary! I swear I'm not looking for flaws! "Chambering geometry" makes the novice mind wander a bit, but now that you explained it, it makes sense Thanks for the updates, I really do appreciate them. Salby Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I had added this to another post and decided to break it out. Not sure if anyone remembers but several months ago I was complaining about how badly my TX200 was shooting, well I found out what was wrong. I got a wild bug last night around midnight, took apart my TX200 MKiii that was giving me problems and found an unholy mess inside The spring lubricant was almost gummed up hard, the rearby Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Beautiful, looks even better in the rain, lol. We woke up this morning to rain so much for the outdoor projects being completed today. I did get treated to a nice brunch for my birthday, which is always appreciated. I really do like the lines of the .25, and the contrast between the bluing and brushed aluminum is very nice. I hope my scope is long enough to pass over the loading port so Iby Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
It just so happens my Birthday is March 19th, couldn't ask for a better present! Sorry for the extra work Gary, looks fantastic! I'm sure it shoots straight too! Nothing like carving a finished stock to raise the hair on the back of your neck, have a good nights rest before attempting that one!by Sal - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
