No - that's a Hawk. Might be a Cooper's Hawk... or a Red Tail Hawk. Beautiful birds. He'll get rid of your starlings for you.

If the underside of his tail feathers are a nice rust color - he's a Red Tail.

I like to watch them. They have a piercing cry sometimes. Very distinctive.

thanks Gary, I noticed him on the edge on the woods the other day... and now he's getting alittle more comfortable. we've had a large number of turkey's in the area.... was thinking maybe a hawk will go after one? here's a better pic, i hope.
