New pictures...so Gary won't bug me!!!

In an effort to please those who want new info more innocent

here are some pics of...not an airgun!

It's a knife I made for a nurse at the hospital - she is a big hunter, and wanted me to make her a knife using antler from a deer she shot.

Mind you, she gave me part of the skull with the antlers still attached, so that was issue #1

ANyway, here it is:

Forged from 3/4" W2 round bar, 4.5" Blade, Orange and Black G10 spacer, stainless guard
Etched finished...since it will be used ALOT

Note the hi-tech background!

and yes, I know the pictures are terrible, but Gary gives me abuse for not posting....so better than nothing!

Nice looking knife joebill. W-2 makes a great blade. Looks like it should be a fine tool. Love the STAG!!!!! excited

I really want to thank you too, for posting the pics. This is exactly what I had in mind.

As I told you by e-mail.... wink ... I hope she takes the knife, and locks it in a desk drawer. Remember: don't ask her if it was used on the hunt, don't ask if it held an edge well, and, for Heaven's sake ... no hunt pictures. It's gone now ... just forget it ... and build the next one. whistling grinning smiley

Joebill,

Great workmanship! take a bow I'm sure the owner will be thrilled with a knife you made with a deer she killed. Nice touch!

I moved this as it is not airgun related. I like the knife but it's not an airgun...

Hey Bill,

Well, let's see ....

If my fevered brain remembers correctly; you said you couldn't post because you had nothing to shoot. So, I made you a Woodsman 62. You needed the 62 slug mold to go with it ... and the 62 sizing mold set to complete the package. Then, you wanted the 32 insert for that Woodsman -so I made that too. And you needed a 32 casting mold, with the 32 sizing die set as well. I made you a nice heavy weight paddlewheel target to boot. Seems you were in the loop for some good shooting and sharing fun.

I believe you may have missed the part where we asked for posts from customers who have received the Barnes' I've put in the field. whistling You've mentioned now, in two posts ... that you'll post ... but it will "not" be airgun related. It seems you have triggered the "Jerry Clause". Hey - when a Naval Academy Aviator spends a career flying around with nukes ... he seems to become a stickler for the "rules". wink Whatchagonnado? Probably much like the "by the book" surgical proceedures you do. thumbs up

We'd enjoy seeing your airgun, your set-up, targets, experiences, etc. Did you ever get back to buy a couple of more pounds of duct seal - after your initial trip to the home store several months ago? Anyway; if you don't care to share ... that's fine. We're trying to encourage the couple of hundred additional Barnes owners to share too. That's why we mention it so often. It's honestly not all directed toward you. We've put alot of effort into trying to build a forum to accomplish a few set goals.

Hey - I got those epidural injections this morning. As you know ... I can only get them so often, because the steriod poses a threat to making the bone too porous, or even causing the bone to die. Therefore; I can only get them about every 4 months. The nurses this am were talking about a previous client today. A 28 year old man. The one woman said she's done this forever, and never cried ... but watching this 28 year old man walk in (in the agony he suffered) .... was all she could take. His agony was the result of, in her words, "a botched surgery". I heard her ask my Doc if the young man would have to live out his life that way ... and my Doc said ... "Yes". I told her that my second pain specialist tells me that a huge portion of his practice is treating people with failed back surgeries. My nurse said "our practice is the same". So; for all the folks who ask me ... "why don't you just go get that fixed?" .... this is why.

Smile.

hehe

Naw, it wasn't that I had nothing to shoot, it was that I'm too lazy to break everything out and take pictures also!!!!

Hey, remember those pictures of the 100 year old growth oak 2 x 4 s? - haha

I have blasted the whirligig thing a bunch...but didn't feel that static fotos really tell the story...and believe it or not I don't have a working video camera !

Never got any more duct seal - it went "out of stock" at the local Home Depot, and they wanted a ridiculous amount for shipping online - so I bagged the idea of shooting inside in the barn.

I did clear several shooting lanes thru my woods, and stocked up a bunch of logs as a backdrop - If you think people would be interested I will try to take some pictures rolling happy smiley

Now that I am an empty nester, and don't have to go to as many school related events, perhaps I will get "motivated" to set up for some pictures !

oh, and don't think I didn't notice that you ignored my wood and bullpup comments LOL!

I'm sure I could start up some lively conversation in those directions.......
