Nitro 46- 1/4 inch steel at 50 yds
September 08, 2011 09:24PM
I shoot at this old standpipe that is from a non functioning well, from my back porch, using my 177 and 22 Air Arms rifles. Makes a nice "ding". The pipe is 50 yds away. Good backstop beyond.
I sat down with the Nitro, with the sling, in a service rifle seated position, 3000 psi, 290 gr Barnes Bishop.
Nice bang and .....PONGGGGGGG.
The slug dented the 1/4" pipe about 1/4". Could not find any bits of lead.
What was that, that Gary said? Oh yes! Its OK to shoot the Nitro in your backyard, as long as your back yard is a quarry.
