The trigger housing for the Scout is one piece of 12 Gage steel band sawn to a butterfly shape, and then precisely bent into a flat bottomed channel of the proper width. That's two bent creases very close together to give the flat spine to the part. It takes two stacked pennies to make the thickness of the steel from which each side is bent. It's stout.

That's pretty neat, I can't fold a paper airplane that precise! Of course, I don't have a shop full of CAD/CAM cutters and optical guided computer controlled machines. Oh wait, neither do you! laughing

Stout stuff indeed. I wish the body of my Cannon gun safe was that thick. It turns out that they're mostly just gypsum-filled sheetmetal boxes with an impressive door.sad smiley
