More progress on the Bison Stock members.
Buttstock With it's Cheek Cap. Hard fiber caps on butt and sole of Pistol Grip.
Oiled now, first coat. Drying in the oven.

That's definately one application where the new CFL bulbs aren't going to be much help.

... hummmm. Last time I show you "technology". hahah.,
Yeah ... you can rig up an "easy bake oven" hot box. Control the temp with multiple incadescent bulbs. Have thermometers inside to monitor so you don't fry your work.

Hi Kurt.
Probably Bastone Walnut. A shade tree variety that has stripes and multicolor bands within it's grain. Yes, it's much lighter in color then black walnut (which tends to be extremely heavy).
