Gary I suspect you don't use your wifes oven.
Would maybe a 100 w lightbulb in a box or stove pipe help speed up my dry time ?

What's that supposed to mean ... knucklehead ... hummmm. Last time I show you "technology". hahah.,

Yeah ... you can rig up an "easy bake oven" hot box. Control the temp with multiple incadescent bulbs. Have thermometers inside to monitor so you don't fry your work.

Did that beautiful stock start out as a black walnut tree? like i said b4 i am not much of a woodworker but it sure seems lighter after the finish is applied

Hi Kurt.
Probably Bastone Walnut. A shade tree variety that has stripes and multicolor bands within it's grain. Yes, it's much lighter in color then black walnut (which tends to be extremely heavy).

Hey maybe a smoker box to give me a fine sooty patina with an aroma of porkchop or fish.
Or an old crock pot base with low medium and high?
