Simply amazing work. so you cock the rifle with the wire on fore stock and the silver color rings on barrel are scope rails? Pardon my ignorance but i have not seen a Bison

Thanks

Hi Kurt.
Correct. The cocking lever is 3/8" tempered tool steel. It rides in the groove in the brass wheel on the hammer stud. The silver bosses are movable to fit the configuration on scope tube you wish to use.
This is a butt reservoir gun and the hammercocks forward. The lever derails and comes down and around to engage the wheel. At that point, the lever is on top and it's an easy push to cock the gun. Then the lever comes back around and snaps infinite keeper. Out of the way during firing.

These are one of my favorite rifles.

I like rearward hammer movement too, for obvious reasons. shooter with bench rifle

They could be. Slide breech would be ideal. However; these being the early top of the Expedition Series, they have been muzzle loaders.
Memorial day thanks

Realy like the idea of adjustable bosses for the scope.

Getting this one ready for the range, with some fresh cast bullets made from my 1999 cherry cutters, which made a new mold, which I'll cast tomorrow. I know they should work well, because the accuracy was built into the cutters ... and those are what I retain. From them, you can always make a new mold. Molds are expendible parts of the equation. The cutters are the bedrock.
