Pulled aside here to show you a section of the barrel. It's all applied to the rifle - and curing. Assembly in about 36 hrs.

Nice it looks like a smooth finish . Didn't the prairie have a similar coating? This one looks smooth as opposed to gold Finish which seem textured. It looks very durable and almost 3 ~D

To answer your question, the Gold Prarie 2 was as smooth as glass and the finish had a 3-D effect that looked a foot deep. I made it for myself. Chose the Gold to compliment one of the laminates in the color laminated stock. It is the rifle I repeatedly edge split playing cards at 50 yards. It remains one of the finest rifles I ever made.
