Ya take Nickle Silver sheet stock (left), Apply a bunch of tools (center), and ya get something like the one on the right. 3 easy steps. thumbs up

Yes I have Pedro. I've been making stamps for about 40 years. Got a few in mind I'd enjoy making yet. Passes for entertainment 'round here ...

Gary,

Really nice polish you have on the silver case.
40 years of making punches, hmm I am 40 years old, lol. That is a lot of experience going forth into the expedition cases!

Must be a lot of work shaping a custom punch and have to do the reverse imprint I imagine?

Enjoy the of the week!

Hi Pedro,

Yes - in any punch (as with die work) whatever will be in highest relief, must be your deepest cuts. But they cannot be so deep that the force acting on your driven material is not reached and compressed. So you have to know your material, your hammer force, and all of the things which effect the results, when you engrave your punch die. For some stamps, I've acid etched the lettering to stand in relief on the end of the stamp. Of course, that all has to also be written in a mirror image.

Remind me to take a pic of my walking stick. I forget it. Its an early stamped project with its furrels and cap. But ...,

Here's my cane ... It has Nickle furrels stamped with rows of component designs.

Ill keep an eye out for that walking staff.
