It will ba a Classic American Barlow Design.

Ill be deciding. I have 4 different colors of jigged bone. Taffy, Navy, Black Cherry, Forest Green - or my dyed hand cut bone.

I could flute the bolsters. I could engrave/carve the bolsters. (Oak Leaves and Acorns - or Scroll and Vine). The spine is already file worked. I need to decide my target market.

Next one will be a copy if the Black Linen Phenolic scale (Queen Anne Ball) folder. That's functional - heat treated too.

Good Call Jerry. We like that too.

When you see it, note that the pattern runs right up to the bolster on this. The bolster material and bone usually are not the same thickness. Of course, the bone must be thicker to be appropriate. Then you fade the bone into the bolster. Here, this knife's scale made the barlow geometry visually shorten the bone scales too much after the fade in. The texture remained at the back - but was mostly gone up near the bolster. On a larger knife, that fade is fine. Looks nice. Here, I needed to carve it in and duplicate the pattern back in.
