That's a Composite Machined Brass Assembly I've Silver Soldered together. It's for the bot action.

I've been working on another very nice Model 97 Folding Knife. It will have Sambar Stsg Scales, and deep relief metal carving.

Yesterday, we had to travel to our farthermost Specialist's Office. I worked late after we got back home. Man, the rain all day just pounded down on the Interstate. You know - wipers on as fast as they'll go and you still can barely see after slowing to 50mph. Traffic really busy. Was good to finally get home and go to the shop.

Boy, when it rains in Florida, it can REALLY come down. At one point during our last vacation there I was starting to wonder if it's ever rained hard enough to break car windows, the wipers didn't begin to keep up with that sort of downpour and even the trucker were crawling along in first gear with their hazards flashing.

Yes - We are into "Extreme Raining" here in Fla.

And another phenomenon is this: you run in and out of it every few miles. Nice day - Oooops I see the grey fuzzy curtain ahead - PLOUSCH!!!!!!! - gone .... Nice day ...... Uh oh - DUCK!!!! - nice day ..... Hummmm - really nice da....... PLOUSCH!!!!!!!

If you buy a Florida car - the wiper switch will most likely be hanging by a wire .....

That was the way it rained when I last left Barnes Pneumatic South to return home. Might as well have been swimming! Enjoy your time in the shop, but don't overdo it (again, yeah, I know) .
