My Grandson, Chance, was carrying around a curved pine branch. One in the shape of a drawn bow. No string. Just a stick.

I saw him riding his bike with it, stop, and take aim up in a tree.

"That Boy needs a bow", says I. He didn't want to bother me while I was working. Nana has taught him well. I saw him skirt the shop door a time or two. I asked him once if he needed something or if he was just sniffin' around. He said the latter.

Well, after observing him down in the pine grove, I took some pruners out the back. Got a stick of Holly. Got a few shoots for arrows. I tillered the stick on the band saw. Fitted two slots with a rope knotted to length. Put some duct tape feathers on the blunt stick arrows with band sawn nocks. Then presented him with the kit.

Well worth an hour.

Kids getting a heck of a lesson hanging around there. Better than any school could offer.

what I would have given for that at his age...............
