After the first coat of oil has dried, I've steel wooled the finish. It's ready for the next coat.

Looking very good.

Hello Gary,

I have mostly always used Linen Phenolic. Very stable. The exotic woods are oily and don't glue well. When I have my own stabalized woods on the shelf, I'll use those.

A nice small folder under build.

Next thing on this build is to assemble the action with the stock, and proof the rifle.

I must find all my 308 stuff. Molds, dies. The wild card is that I keep being talked out of MY tooling. So; I really hope I don't have to cut a fresh mold, and make sizing dies. I have to track those down.

Time has been invested in the flow of knives. You understand, the flow of knives supports the movement of rifles. The entire picture is much larger and more detailed than the closeup views you see.

Thanks for reading! thumbs up
