Bored so thought i'd post some images of my work. Built a sinusoidal stake and here we go.My torch wouldn't get the copper hot enough... so as you can see my rifle turned into a Dali esque image.

Thanks for Posting Steve!!!

Neat stuff. Hope it sells for you. Presentation, presentation, presentation. Try it for a week, then drill a little hole so the wearer can put a flower in the end of the barrel. Then, sell it with a can of Pepsi and a pic of Kendall! thumbs up

Thanks Steve,
Gary

Hey watchman
I'm betting that rifle took a lot of work before you were ready to attach . It musta been hard watching her melt . I'll bet if you punch a couple of holes in the back side of the copper cuff and plug solder them it would keep the heat OFF the rifle and more on the cuff . Two different melting points hasta be hard to marry .

BTW
Don't feel bad about googling Kendal ... I had to google sinusoidal stake . I've never heard of it but hey you were close hehe

Thanks
Kurt

Hi Kurt, thanks for commenting. Hurt alittle when it melted but had to try. Was thinking of adding posts to the back and riveting but .... If i can get a torch to heat a thick piece of metal to red hot, i could apply a piece of silver on top. Gonna try and broach out some little torch heads i have and try again. The rifle started as square wire and i chucked in a lathe to make cylindrical in some spots then hammered and bent the rest to fit. Finally, soldered the guard... it was quite something before.. Haha

Good job Steve,

I can see those earrings in a club. You're on a roll now.

You making your own ammo for the rifle?

Watchman
That's pretty cool looking . I'll bet that's quite a few hours of work . Did you recycle the old rifle back to a square wire and start over ?

Thanks
Kurt

Hi Kurt, probably a few hours. This is a new piece from a chunk of Sterling silver.
Still have to polish and finish it.
