Little has changed in foot surgery, since the 15th century .... EXCEPT a first step of injecting Lidocaine .... ... and .... now you have to pay up front, before you face the guy with the tray of grizzly tools.

Big Syringes, Shears, and Pliers. Oh ... and lots of towels.

But, that one little detail .... lidocaine.... made all the difference. Wink.

So far, so good.

Thank those who contacted me. It was nice to be thought of. I just didn't know what to expect. I'm pretty topped up on pain, and I just have to work.

We'll see how it goes later. If the ache sets in.

Kelly has demanded that I stay in here.

You are right Larry. It looked like a Civil War Field tent after the procedure. Let me tell you .... "No digital technology was used in the surgery on my digit!" Whoooh!!!

I googled steel toed socks and no results. I hope you can put something together to protect the foot in the shop. Dropping anything on that foot for a few weeks would not be fun.

Like the Doctor told me when I broke my arm when I was 12. "That is going to feel so good when it quits hurting". Well you got that going for you at least.

In all seriousness, I hear they are experimenting with laboratory grown maggots for dead tissue removal. Seems they "will work for food" and do a great job.
