A LOT of work shown here, so far. Cutting of all the Pearl and Stone. Laying up the Mosaics.

It's a Mdl 97 action and in the Large DISPLAY FORMAT which comes out approx. "10 1/4" OAL.

The artwork will be designed to capture the "mood" and "suggest" the components which we take away from our contact with Verne. The size and shape of the available "canvas" areas for engraving/carving, do not allow for exact museum copies of the original artwork.

It will be a fun piece.

That is For sure going to be one Jule of a knife ! Haha I was wondering didn't you have all the art work drawn already? I'm certain I saw it but not in the majik sharpie more like a pencil sketch. I really like the inlay pattern design and color gems you've chosen also !

I had early sketches Kurt.

The inlays were just blocked out. I've made them wider. The holes were only small pilots. The concepts have matured and I'll draw more after I've carved. I can't apply everything at once, or I destroy artwork on one section while I work on another.
