To being finished.IMG_2083.JPG

And now .... I've also shown you all how to do it yourself. (a mistake I fear ... now you don't need me). . Well, toss an old man a cookie. I try to make myself useful

Always enjoy conversation. I'm not seeking new ways to praise. I suspect though, if I had access to another guy like me, I'd have something to say. Like ..., "what were you thinking?" "What are you in for?" Stuff like that. Wink

The detail is amazing. I'm betting the size of the pictures has spoiled your viewers regarding the actual scale of the work.

What processes are left on the scales?

Hi Lon,

I'll set up and just absorb each section. See if any "hot spots" attract my attention. I'll deal with each.

I'll see if I need any more shading to pull out contract. Of course, I have to project that because the background isn't yet darkened.

I have to sand off any burrs. There will be hundreds.

Then I must buff the pearl again. Probably mask engraving so as not to erode it.

After that, I have to chemically clean the metal of any buffing compound. I can then apply the background darkening. Clean the high spots. Massage the shading.

Once you think you are almost done, hours still pile up.

Thanks Lon
Gary
