What a fine assembly of work . I WISH I could fashion one even close to any of those . I am truly jealous of your ability and talent. And to think they all were born from just an idea into the assortment before us . I've never owned a belt clip knife but really glad Julio and Lon pulled you into it . Even if I tried to fabricate the simplest of clips you could never hold a candle to it !bowing

Thanks

Thanks Kurt

I’d never considered a clip to be appropriate on a fine knife. But, Julio wore me down after years of discussion. And so; as I do with everything... I set out on a flurry of making tooling to precisely bend the clips. You can’t just crunch them in a waffle jaw vise and pound them over with a big ball pean hammer. Ha. Well, ya can ... but ...

So; after I made a couple, I developed an appreciation for a well made product. And Lon saw the clip as a marketing tool - needing my Marquis. So; I was just the grunt that put it all together. I like it. I like the leather tail too, to easily get purchase. And, it adds yet another dimension of possible beads and such.

Glad you like it too.

Comments on the line of knives is very welcome. Thanks for reading.

Here you can note the construction.

If you weren’t thinking about it, you could’ve tempted to think ...”well, you just fold over that piece of Stainless Steel .... uniformly ... and to the EXACT thickness .... WITHOUT MARING UP THE MATERIALS ..... ah .... maybe it’s not that easy.

Then, there’s drilling straight thru the material. Well ... THAT’s simple .... right??? Is it??? Does the material spring any? You can’t counter punch INSIDE the Channel after your drill breaks thru the first side. “Well, there ARE ways ...”. Yes, there are. But how much time and care do they take?

There are many little huge pains that come with working Stainless. But it makes a great finished product to turn over and over in your hand while you watch a movie, etc. especially if you have a tail on it to dangle and spin the knife from. Hah. (That’s really what it’s for ... and if you have a BEAD???? Oh ... bite your lip!)

Ok. Enjoy the pics.
