I'm not much of a wood guy even though I love it . I'm wondering is that maple ? It's got a great medium color and a great grain from what I see . Are all the Outryder 's the same type of wood ?

I can't imagine doing a whole stock from a plank without all the fancy duplicators and such .

Hi Kurt,

That’s Walnut with the plywood pattern laying on it. The light plays tricks.

They are either Walnut or Mahogany. Most Mahogany.

Will keep ya posted.

Yeah, I just do it with an old pocket knife. Haha

That is a lot of wood! What you carve out of the wood will be something unique once again! I am by no means a wood worker, but can appreciate working with wood from the little I have done.

Looking forward to seeing this rifle come together as it has been a long while since you have completed a rifle.

Got rid of some of that extra Walnut.

And the week ends Sunday night in the shop.
