I was able to secure an appointment with my Pain Specialist. Today we traveled all day, to and from, and secured the epidural injections to my spinal canal which helps me so much with my spinal column damage.

This always helps in many areas. It’s easy to write the damage off as “back ache”, but chronic never ending severe pain just eats at everything you do.

So We are home and I’m very grateful.

God Bless and direct our country as well.

Oh man I hate needles. Especially those big long ones for the epidural shots . I’ve tried the series but they didn’t last very long . It’s quite the process like surgery. I asked the doctor how he knew how far to go and he said it’s a potential space with a vacuum that when you go slowly with the needle when your far enough it kinda sucks in steroid medication. Weird huh !

I’m glad you finally got it . Steroids are an amazing thing!

Thanks

Thanks Kurt,

It’s made a big difference already. I was in some serious sustained pain.

If anyone wonders, the nerves sprout from the spinal cord and branch out to the parts of a body. They have to pass between the bones of the spinal column. When the disc cushions degrade, they allow the bones to shift and press on those nerve bundles. That causes severe pain - not in the back where the pinch is - but in the area the nerves go to. So you wind up with pains all over the place.

The steroids reduce swelling and create a compromise situation. They can’t fix the discs, but they reduce pressure from the swelling the poor alignment creates.

It is an extremely delicate procedure. The needle goes into the spinal cavity. Just a hair to far and you “Tap the Spinal Cord”. You don’t want to talk about the pain if that were to happen.

If your spine is up to specs, say a “Thank You!”
