In Solid Steel Yet!!!



Ooooppsss .... would you believe that’s a really big thumb??? No? Huhh. Ok, I’m busted. I had to cold forge out the latch tongue. I trimmed it just a bit short when first tuning. The Anvil worked great. Rang like a true Tool Steel Anvil! Hah.



The Latch works very smooth, with a Crisp “Snick!!”

Hi Scott,

Nickel takes a great shine. Sure does. It’s shine lasts longer too. Brass or Copper take the shine but they fade. Nickel will retain longer - but is harder to work with. Annealing any metal is critical. Nickel Silver makes you work for it. For consistency. And the oxide on Nickel is tough. So you have to know a few secrets. .... huh??? “what secrets?” .... ha! Funny.

Ok. Back to it. That’s the biggest secret. “Keep at it”. After that ... have a coffee ... then do some more.
