World's most powerful air rifle(in 2000), the Puma Puissance

This was touted as the World's most powerful air rifle in the year 2000 by UK Airgunner Magazine. It was made by Adrian Hartley, it's a .50 with 340 fpe and costs about $5000 in the year 2000 money, very interesting....

It's a beautiful, and powerful gun in it's time, however, compared to today's Gary's bigbore such as the Dragon with 840 fpe........ he..he...

That's what I thought. I kinda knew Gary had the Bisons with over 500 fpe before that time, but I wasn't sure when. And if that was the case, then Gary is truly the pioneer and forefather of the modern super powerful bigbore airguns.

That's a nice stock.

My Barnes Alpine 45, completed in April 2000 IIRC, will put out around 550 FPE with hunting slugs.

I'm sure the Puma P.... was a big deal to the guys in the UK back in 2000 but nice as it might have been; the magazine was pushing hype to sell copy. That gun was not the most powerful in the world and if the editors of the magazine had excercised due diligence and the ethics expected of those who represent themselves as authoritative sources; they would not have made the silly claim.

Like my Daddy told me a long time ago,"Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see."

My work was an "Inconvenient Truth" among those who had already built their networks. Writers, builders, publications, collectors, dealers ... already had established relationships which did not benefit from me coming along and upsetting same. Therefore; I did what I'd always done before ... put my work out there to speak for itself.
