I've enjoyed sharing coffee breaks with all of you during this past year. I look forward to enjoying more of the same in 2010. Hardly seems possible. Wasn't that long ago, it seems, that I got a BB gun. Then, later it was a quest for a .22 rifle. Just look where it all leads. haha.

Merry Christmas everyone! We just completed our return CT - MD drive -- a bit earlier than originally planned due to the weather. We had a great day with my wife's family.

I received my first BB gun -- Crosman 760 Powermaster -- for Christmas when I was in 2nd grade, I believe. I still remember that morning, and setting up plastic army guys in the snow and taking 'em out. Since then we've scaled things up a bit thanks to Gary.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and have a better New Year.

Though I did not receive/give any airgun related items, there were some gifts that were under the tree worth mentioning. My wife, Alice, received a Barnes knife (that might be airgun related...), my boys each received a Joe Hoover knife (my thanks go out to Joe for the great work on making 4 matched knives) and I received a .31 cal. black powder revolver. Picture of items attached.



Now my wife wants a matching air gun to go with her new knife.

I put dibs on a book at my wifes shop for my Christmas present.
One Hundred Great Guns by Merrill Lindsay.
It even mentions an airgun from 1644, and some odd square, triangle, clover shaped bores.
Great book if you can find a copy.
It even shows a cannon shell that has fins and howls/screams in the air.!!
Could a pellet/slug be cast to do this?

My wife, Kelli, bought me a camera so I could share my airgun hobby with my friends on this forum.

I'm following in Jerry's footsteps with a Casio with the high speed video and zoom. If the call Gods are good to me this weekend, I may have something posted for all to see. I'm sure I'll need to pick Jerry's brain on the best way to upload/host the video. TIA Jerry!

That's a really great camera. Congrats. Even the stills, from the long range zoom, are really fine. Jerry seems to have made fast friends with it, and captured some really interesting stuff for us. It will be exciting to view what you come up with too! Oh boy.
