Hi Gary, Looking good! Like to see just where the kitchen sink gets mounted! Should neat seeing the pistol come together. Blessings, Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, That is a nice imprint on the pellet. Looks very even all around the head and skirt of the pellet. Be interesting to see the differences in velocity with the Kodiak and your own pellet designs. Hope you are doing well and can progress well. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Nicely coming along! A pain to machine but wait till that will be finished, polished? Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Hi Gary & All, Been following the pandemic almost since day one. Things progressed from little concern to a major concern. It bothers my wife and I when we see people not taking it seriously. They are the ones who are putting the elderly and those with underlying issues as huge risk. Then there are others that say its all fake, a conspiracy. As of today, 1.64 million infected, 100K dead, itby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, Sorry I should visit the site more often. I have had many things on the go lately and at the same time seems all my focus or enjoyment in many areas has left me. Probably due to the abnormal circumstances lately with the Covid-19 pandemic. It is interesting how muscle memory works. I haven't been on a mill or lathe in a long while, but when I do, its almost natural. Just like martiby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Great tips Gary. Thanksby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, That sure sounds rough. I have never heard of a pneumatic med injection device. I could have used that years ago when I had headaches/migraines last 72 hours. Must be something that only USA has at the moment. My doctors have never mentioned anything like that. Glad that you have access to them. Hope they aren't to costly. I used to take pills when I had a classic migraine (aura firstby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Awesome Gary, glad you can get back to airguns! Looking forward to following the progress. Need something to do while "self isolating". God bless, Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Smart move to leave notes! With all the interruptions of thought in a day, good to know where one was. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, Good thing you have that long bbq fork. Those type of shavings are nasty and dangerous. A little story that those shavings pics brought to memory. When I was about 17, I worked after school at a agricultural manufacturer. My dad was there for over 20 years and was teaching me basic machining. I was turning something and he cautioned me on the ribbon of steel shavings. "Never everby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

So I kind of got myself excited reading through the foxfire book 5 again on gun making. Turns out in Canada there are no regulations on flintlock rifles. Pistols are a different story. But alas I have to many projects going and will have to finish a few before I tackle a flintlock. Gary, you ever build a flint lock? Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
We had -11 with the windchill yesterday morning. Brrrr! Not acclimatized to the cold winter just yet. Had some issues with our furnace, all the new technology is to be better. However, the furnace wouldn't shut off at the set temperature and house would be super warm in the middle of the night. Hopefully the update they did will fix it, so far so good. Hope everyone is able to stay warm! Hby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
To bad pistols of that caliber and power need a "restricted license" in Canada. It's almost impossible for a resident to have a pistol and shot it regardless of pneumatic or powder. Still nice to see the line up as Kurt mentioned. Be reading through the Fox Fire 5 book on gun making. These pistols remind me of the Hacker Martin pistols posted in the book. Although his are flintlock, still simiby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, No worries about responding, I know you have more important things to do but do appreciate your thoughts. I did temper the screw twice this last time around. As I continue to build I will make the final screws and do as you suggest, a transfer heat. Chris at Clickspring shows some nice trays he uses for blue finishing his screws, this would work to temper as well. A few thoughtsby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That's a nice looking rifle and sounds rather powerful. Thanks for posting.by pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Kurt, It is hard to find time. No what winter is creepy in, rather quickly I might add, more time for other things. R & D take time and I am working somewhat blind as I only have the theory or operation from pictures with no measurements. Hopefully next few weeks will show progress. Need to do some lathe work. A co worker offered the use of his as mine is to small. Need to extend theby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I was finally able to make some time to continue on the 308 Airgun I have wanted to build. The design is based on the 45 Texan by AirForce Airguns. I am working from pictures I found online and from someone who had pics from a 45 Texan dismantled. Started this over 2 years ago, worked out most of the mechanisms on CAD (computer aided design). The concept is rather intricate the way all the componby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Kurt, That is a really neat piece. Thanks for sharing. Never seen anything like it before! Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, A fine blade. Turned out really well. Glad someone stepped up to purchase it. Auto opening knives are illegal in Canada Nice colors and contrasts on that build. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, Blade looks great with the bead blast.Matches the matte finish of the handles.Scales look fantasist. Great job! Should sell quickly. Wishing/praying for good health for you. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Wow those scales look amazing! Sorry to hear you are still having pain. Wish you could get past it all. Stainless is difficult to work with, but you make it look easy! There are more and more "easier" to machine stainless. Be nice to see the knife come together. All the best. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
It is great that you could speed things along with your assistance. Hopefully you receive some reimbursement for your time and equipment as you saved them a lot. Maybe the show and tell helps you gain a few more customers! Hope the power issues are minimal here on in. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Gary, WOW, that is a stunning knife! The scale details are well balanced. Nice to see it come together. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Enjoy seeing how you make things. The artistry and knowledge that you posses, wow. Not to mention the patience in learning each craft. It is not something you can just decide to do one day and proceed without natural ability. Hope others appreciate the efforts! Pedroby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Guess what arrived in the Mail today??? Maria really liked the pendant. Now I have to go get her a necklace so she can wear it. It hasn't turned copper, the lighting of the room caused it to change from silver/aluminum look. (I was going to mention and have added). My wife Maria is now at the halfway point with her chemotherapy. 9 more weeks to go (3 treatments, 3 weeks is 1 cycle of trby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
