TommyG, Let's us know what questions you have, but FIRST of all (and I am SURE that you already know this, but as an old firearms instructor want to emphasize it) realize that High Pressure Airguns (HPA) on this scale are not in the least to be considered toys, or anything of that nature, and are not generally safe for 'backyard' use. I only shoot mine on large tracs of land with good backstopby jcwward2 - Gary's Gun Room
Hey Gary, Been there done that, got the cookies , ha! That is a nice piece that TommyG picked up. I'll look at it again. Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Nice. That is an awesome vice and some pretty cool tooling. In my experience, you just don't see "English" products like those! Enjoy, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, I also think part of it is the high expectations that you have established, and always meet. Oh, yeah, It's just another 5 Star Barnes project... That's what we expect. The lighter side of that is your work has value and gets sold Put that win in the plus column everyday, because as for the rest of us - we are just mere mortals and can't do that level of art! Enjoy the day anywby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
TommyG, I remember when Gary used to handcraft even the shipping boxes. You have quite a prize there! There is a learning curve to the whole high power air rifle hobby and you have a GREAT piece with which to start. Take you time and learn the intricacies of the hobby so that when you are ready to (steal it from you son) shoot it you will be able to understand just how special that piece is.by jcwward2 - Gary's Gun Room
Jerry, for sure what Kurt said! Mine only hurts in the mind. Hang in there! Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Wow, nice! I guess the various color striations are from the different golf course maintainence chemicals that crept into the tar pits down there in Florida. I know that state is the king state for golf courses, so they must have affected the tar pit ground water {*:*} It really looks like it is going to be a winner. Thanks for the photos! Gary, LOL, all of the above! I thought that stuff was running down my mouth and onto my shirt due to my age - teehee. At least it isn't happening while sitting in a wheel chair and bobbing my head. NOPE, I'm not ready for that yet! Wow, that Google search thing is tough. The last time I looked it was not up to date, I did have a dark roof but had it power washed so now it is kind of silveby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, That is WAY cool. Especially the picture where the knife is hardened and the different colors show. I know that you already made the perfect knife for Julio (jealous), but it looks like you are going to open a new chapter on perfect. I'm glad you have the Christmas club as I just might have to get in line for one of those as I love the button lock concept! I can't wait to see it wiby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Kurt, Thanks much. Unfortunately the water lines and vents run in the concrete. When the line broke it came into the vents, not sure how just yet as they are still being worked on, and basically leaked up. It is taking forever as the house is on a 14 inch slab, but the plan it to run new lines through the old ones. That should be done this week. I am still shopping for completed HVAC woby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Gary, Gary, Didn't anybody tell you that you just moved to Florida. Ever hear of Waldo, no NOT that one (he's been found) - the one that is the city in Florida and is on that stretch of road (can't recall the number right now) south off of Highway 10 heading for Ocala. One of the dangest stretches of speed traps in the whole universe. That city and a couple of others along that route arby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, That is shaping up nicely. I think you have all of the knife buffs on the site drooling to see the outcome. I can't wait! Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, I have that EXACT same hatchet. Umm, well, maybe the tape is a bit different... Kurt, I never knew it was a drywall hatchet. Will wonders never cease!by jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Wow Gary, Your enthusiasm sure shows through. I can't wait to see how this turns out. Just don't get too excited and shoot yourself in the eye Red Rider! Later, Jeff P.S. Haven't been posting much because of a big house problem I have tried to write about twice - each time I lost the post. Hope to have it sorted out soon.by jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, Wrote a long story, lost it somehow, too tired right now to rewrite it. Sorry for the quiet but am beat all to heck right now myself. Will answer more when the double S curve in my back straightens out!@ Hang in there! Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, Oh my word that is gorgeous! Thanks for posting that. I have been playing with my new knife almost constantly, and the one feature that stands out, and that I have NEVER seen on any other knife (even custom knives) is the trunion that the blade rotates on. Such a simple idea, and it works so well, that it amazes me that I don't see it on every folder! It is truely a work of art. Thby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Impressive!by jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Oh my word Gary, Don't make me buy another knife. I have always loved engine turning and have it on several firearms. It looks real nice on the barrel hood of a self loading pistol! Nice. Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, And how about that new line of "Old Codger" jewelry. I think that one is a must! I do have an idea though, and I'll send you a PM on that one. Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Gary's Galleries
Hey Gary, That's not fair telling me about the pouch and all... Actually, unfortunately, I can't picture in my mind the design you made mention of. I am right handy with leather, so I could probably make me one if you would add an old pic or a sketch. Hey Kurt, Thanks for the comment. Yep, it was a tough decision, but this knife just begs to be carried. It also fits the hand really wellby jcwward2 - Gary's Galleries
Lol Gary, I see you are enjoying the new technology still... Er! Yep, I wish I still had some of Dad's work. Kurt - I liked those stripes too... I wonder why they are not on the finale production version?????????by jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary and Kelly, The new pieces arrived and are amazing (as I am beginning to believe is always the case). My 'female' Christmas shopping is done and I am afraid that I have hogged all of the beach jewelry. I am sure there will be more for the other site users. I made the mistake of showing the cuff and pendant off at work and my female coworkers went nuts over them. I can't wait to see the fby jcwward2 - Gary's Galleries
Gary, People talk about exceeding expectations, but wow! Yesterday I received this knife in the mail just as my computer went crazy. Now the computer is back up and I can tell you how pleased I am with this pocket knife. It is simply amazing and the (seriously) most beautiful knife I have ever seen. The pictures above do not do it justice at all. It is not my first custom built knife, and Iby jcwward2 - Gary's Galleries
Hi Gary, Nice gift for the Grandson. My Dad used to make things like that, but none of us (me or my siblings) have kept any of them. That's a shame really. It will last forever and I hope he enjoys it a lot!by jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Amen to that Sir, amen! Heck, why can't we just enjoy the game on occassion and have a big fat hotdog and forget about all of the other stuff??? Enjoy, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
