Glad the pines are relaxing, nothing worse than a stressed tree. I know what you mean though, so calming. Fascinating photos, we miss the little things when we don't slow down.by CA_airguns - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I've had a few laptops including Inspiron and yes it's standard to spend a day or two stripping out the junk it's packaged with and making sure it doesn't come back. Check in with Task Manager for unfamiliar processes running and using up resources, and look them up on the web to see if they should be removed. Some so-called "services" do a disservice to your computer, hogging resources. The grby CA_airguns - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary I am also part of the big-bore builder's busted back club. I stuck it out for the first 7 years and for the last 5 years I've been in the system. I've requested injections many times and have been declined with the weak reason of being too young. So I do my own IM injections which work for a few hours, to the doctor's great dissatisfaction. It's truly a blessing having reduced-pain times,by CA_airguns - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Similar to the non-gallon gallon, they advertise computer hard-drive capacity in GB* *not the meaningful Gigabytes, but the obscure derivation that has no meaning to the customer except to falsely inflate the figure and also food advertised as "92% fat-free". Well fat-free is an absolute status. It's either 100% or else it's 0%. What next, Nigeria is 64% scam-free?by CA_airguns - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

I know what Gary means, the torn between wanting to show everything and knowing better. Rotorhead I've done some bent turned parts, they follow the basic rule of - the thinnest cross-section yields first. The finer details need some more planning though.by CA_airguns - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Amazing replication and having enough faith in abilities to apply to nicely finished parts. Anodising is the one process the most can go wrong with IMO.by CA_airguns - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
The most astonishing example I've seen of this kind of thing happening was with shooting a .308 at 75yd. I set up a CD case as the target, leaning up against a small drink bottle that had been shot up. The bottle could hold very little water so it didn't help much in holding the target up. I propped them against each other precariously - I just wanted a single shot to confirm the sighting. I shby CA_airguns - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I'm glad the input was useful. Good to have another NZ'er Danny, I saw your posts about helium and CO2. Let's hope these big guns remain low profile specialist tools and we don't have an incident. More air usage at lower pressure makes sense, efficiency tends to decrease with decreasing pressure. Another way of looking at the recoil is: the closer the projectile & gun's mass are to each otby CA_airguns - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi all, I sometimes visit this forum but this is my first post. I build big-bores, mostly stainless & titanium (e.g. Neil's) To answer the question mathematically: yes Gary there is a real quantifiable reason behind it. Momentum, p = mass x velocity Energy, E = 1/2 mass x (velocity)2 For a given energy a slower, heavier bullet results in higher momentum, therefore a higher changeby CA_airguns - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
